Homeless & Social Justice Discussion/Small Group
Interested in issues surrounding homelessness and social justice? Come join us for discussion, prayer and action! This small group is starting up again and all are welcome to join in. We are currently reading James and beginning to get involved in organizations in Montreal. We meet once a week, although the date and time has yet to be determined (it depends on who’s interested and their availabilty). Email Esther at esther@impactchurch.ca.

Painting
If you can help paint the Vinings’ place Friday or Saturday, please contact katie@impactchurch.ca or call her at (514) 839-7691.  The teams are going Friday evening and Saturday 10a-5p.  It’s at 1500 Champigny, St-Laurent.  Note that this is different from de Champigny.

Kitchen Help
Please contact esther@impactchurch.ca if you can help in the kitchen by bringing and preparing food or cleaning up after fellowship!

June 24th  service - 3 or 4pm - 7pm at St. James (Where we normally meet)
St. John the Baptist said, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord!’” Come join us for a picnic, music and video presentations, and a discussion on how John’s mission is relevant to Christ-seekers living in Montréal in 2007.
    Bring a blanket/cushion and lunch and/or food to share for a picnic on St. James’ lawn at 4pm. The cushion will come in handy inside too, as we’re not setting up chairs this week!   In collaboration with curieux (curieux.ca) and Emerge (emergemontreal.com).

Montreal Jazz Festival Outreach Project (Message from Jeremy Jackson)
I want to get an outreach project going during the Jazz Festival on Friday, June 29th, and possibly again some time the next week. I want to get set up on a busy corner with a djembe and guitar playing and people worshipping, then have people handing out free lemonade and tracts and talking with people. And if a big enough group gathers, I’d like to give a message. We will need a team of at least five people. It would involve some prep work for everyone involved and most of the day that day as we will spend a few hours in prayer before hand. Please pray about this.
